Our 2019 Santa Event was absolutely AMAZING! 🎅🎄
First off, I want to start by saying WOW to our downtown this holiday season! Our community is continuing to grow, and the amount of helping hands within the community during this season has been beyond heart warming. This is by far one of my favorite things about living in a small town– I really feel that the closeness of it all allows for more people to help one another and connect as a city. Seeing the amount of giving and welcoming for others in need this season has been so special to witness. We really live in an incredible town, and I wouldn’t want to call any other place home. 😍
What started out as an idea to show appreciation for our current & past clients, soon turned into an event open to the public. After that first year, I had decided to make the 2nd completely open to the public. I just couldn’t turn people away any longer, and getting to share this special event with Chillicothe brings me so much joy. It is by far my most favorite event of the year! 🙌
This year makes our 4th event in a row, and it was our biggest turn out yet! Over 500 people showed up to celebrate the downtown holiday cheer! I am so happy we opened it to the public this season and created a FREE day at the museum with FREE photos by Cassidy Dawn Drummond! 👏
Everyone was so appreciative, and the majority of the people that came up and thanked me may never even be a client, but knowing that this may also be their one and only opportunity to see Santa and have a photo op is the best feeling. I truly love giving back. I am very blessed in my life and love being able to share opportunities and experiences with others that may not have otherwise had the chance. 😌
Thank you to each and every person that showed up, showed your gratitude and took part in celebrating such a special time. ✨
It is an honor to give back and be part of this community. ❤️
Thank you, Chillicothe. 🙏
TOMORROW IS THE DAY!!!

Whether you want to cool down with a smoothie or stop in for some homemade soup, meet Heather from Buckeye Cafe and hear why this cafe is a little gem in Chillicothe. The cookies are a must-try and all the food is homemade fresh every day. Of course they do coffee, but expect to be surprised by the selection of to-die-for baked goods, ice cream, and milkshakes.
After he and his neighbor, Brian, had a conversation one day about how much they love coffee, Brian mentioned that he knew a friend that was roasting his own beans. They started looking into where to source green beans and brought a small roaster and started enjoying one, fragrant cup of a coffee at a time. They were hooked!
They decided to share this joy and, when trying to figure out what to call themselves, Tom asked Brian: “What are we all about?”—the answer? “We’re just two average joes roasting coffee.” and so the name “Two Roasting Joes” was born. Tom’s daughter also provides baked goods for the store, “Livy Cakes” for a sweet treat with your coffee. In a rush? Drop your money in the slot and grab it right from the front counter.
410 degrees + 15minutes = coffee that’s worth taking a moment to savor! Watch how Two Roasting Joes roast and package all their coffee in-house, have over 25 flavors, and why they take the trouble to make high-quality coffee because they believe you deserve great coffee!
When people think Eastern Avenue Lumber they generally just think lumber, but we bet you didn’t know that this 70+ year family-owned local business rivals big-box hardware in what’s on offer. Founded in 1947, when it was first established Eastern Avenue Lumber mainly provided milling and lumbar for contractors and large projects, but today its offerings have expanded to provide a convenient, general hardware store for the local community.
After growing up in the business, Chelsea didn’t plan to run it as she now does with her husband, but instead went to college and graduated with a degree in teaching. Life led her in a different direction back to a family business that rivals big-box hardware stores. Meet Chelsea and be surprised by all that’s on offer including all your plumbing needs, paint, power tools, nuts and bolts, garage door parts, cutting keys, screen doors, windows, and they even work with external suppliers for special orders.
Come get your hands dirty with Chelsea from Eastern Avenue Lumber as she shows Meredith a super simple DIY way to fix and fill nail holes in your drywall at home.
“I didn’t’ know you carried that?” is a frequent comment from people who walk into Chillicothe Carpet. Meet the owner, Jon and learn about a business that stocks every type of flooring you could imagine from carpet, vinyl, hardwood, laminate, and waterproof options that are scratch resistant and holds up to children and pets.
Jon and his business partner Jeff have been in the flooring business for more than 20 years as carpet installers and have done just about every type of flooring job imaginable. After their fathers both worked in flooring for 3-40 years, Jon and Jeff have been around flooring from their early years and have been expanding Chillicothe Carpet since its establishment more than 15 years ago. They now have seven employees and service the Ross Country and surrounding areas as well as providing free estimates and measurements.
